Whisper [:-*] What would make migrating to Expression Web from FrontPage easier?

I'd like to know if you are-were a FrontPage user and have or plan to migrate from FrontPage to Expression Web what are your pain points?

    Please include in your response:

    1. How long you used FrontPage?
    2. What you consider your skill level to be in FrontPage?
    3. Do you use FrontPage webbots, if so which ones?
    4. On a scale of 1-9 rate how hard it was for you to transition from FrontPage to Expression and explain why you gave it the rating you did.
    5. What would make your transition easier?

    1. I have used FP since '98.

    2. I would consider myself to be of moderate skill with FP in the respect that I can use most features without difficullty and feel very comfortable with the program.

    3. Not many webbots any more but used to a couple of years back.

    4. Transition I would say is still happening.  I still find myself reverting back to FP just because I was and am more comfortable with it.

    5.  If MS had made Expression Web more like FP in layout and less like Dream Weaver in the layout, I would have found the transition to be much more user friendly.  If I wanted to use DW, I would have purchased DW and not EW.  I really miss the navigation feature from FP as well.  I am a user of familiarity, and I feel the new EW, though powerful, was too much departure from what I was "used to".  FP had/has a number of defiancies but we none the less "got used to it" over the years and I find EW just plain complicated to use.

They should have done something like Corel did with Paint Shop Pro when they bought JASC and gave you the option to set up your layout like the original program for a couple of versions as we got used to the new features and interface.  Eventually I changed entirely to the new interface and no longer even notice the major differences.

Not an excuse, just a reason and my 2 cents :O)

I've been using FrontPage since the version before FP 97 (I think it was FrontPage 95, but am not sure of that).  Now I'm using EW 1.
