I am still having problems with BOM characters    showing up in my html and css files. I went to the web page http://by-expression.com/tutorials/characterset/. But, when I tried the below instruction, I do not have a 'Encoding' option when I right click. Any suggestions  on how to get rid of this BOM for good?
 

For those using PHP include files you can either use a file extension other than php such as .inc. The right click in code view and select Encoding from the right click menu (at right).

Which view were you in when you right clicked? Did you right click in the code view or the normal view? Double check.

I sent a reply on January 5th to TinaClarke@accessfp.net because I had an image I wanted to show you. Now I will just list out the options.

 
If you can not see the image below, I will upload it to a web page. I was in the Edit Mode and I right-clicked. Had not tried to double right-click before, but just did and got the same options. I do not have the Encoding option when I right click.  "The right click in code view and select Encoding from the right click menu (at right)." from this web page:
